How do you get a vocal to pop out of the mix when you all you've got is a stereo mix. This trick will also make a boring flat track sound a little bit more exciting in the mids.
So, get the Ozone 9 equalizer, put it into M/S mode. Select the mid. Go for a high shelf. And go for an analog high shelf. Put the frequency to 1.7K. Put the gain up by a dB. Go easy here because it can make it sound quite sharp. Put the Q to about 1.2. And voila! as if by magic, the vocal will pop out the mix in the middle. Check this out. (Music Playing)
